Corrections Policy

Updated: Sep 21, 2026

If you find a factual error, tell us exactly where it appears and why you think it is wrong. Specific reports are easier to investigate and correct.

How to request a correction

Email [email protected] with Correction request in the subject line. Include:

  • The URL of the RoofingCompare page.
  • The sentence, table entry, image, or link at issue.
  • Your proposed correction and the reason for it.
  • A current primary source or other evidence we can inspect.

How we review reports

We compare the report with the cited evidence, the sources behind the page, and other suitable records. We may contact the person who submitted the report for clarification. A manufacturer or subject of an article receives the same evidence review as any other source.

How we publish corrections

We fix confirmed errors in the article. For a change that could alter a homeowner’s understanding or decision, we update the page date and add a correction note when readers need the history. We may repair spelling, grammar, formatting, or broken links without a note.

What is not a correction

A disagreement with an accurate quotation, a documented historical fact, or a clearly labeled consumer opinion does not by itself establish an error. We do not remove accurate information because it is unflattering. We will consider new evidence and correct the record when the evidence supports a change.

Archived reviews and personal information

Archived reviews are historical consumer submissions. If a review contains personal information that you want us to assess, identify the review and the information at issue. We handle privacy requests under our Privacy Policy.
