"Metal roofing on top of my house"
I've owned my metal roofing for about 5 years now. My cousin installed it, as he is a carpenter. I like the look of it and the 45 year warranty. I dislike how loud it is when the weather gets sideways. I've never had to repair or replace it, yet. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, they can do their own research. On any other roof, I feel it to be reassuring to have metal. On a roof designed to last for 100 years, not so much. My neighbor appears to be have negated the benefit of no exposed fasteners. Also the wood will not rot unless it gets wet. I have a 100+ year old house, only rotted trusses were the boxed gutter failed and started leaking. The cleat avoids the problem, it appears you just created in about 25-40 years time. I did quite a bit of research before doing the install, I didn't see anybody doing as you're suggesting here. Either it was a cleat, or they put the hidden fastener near the bottom. I didn't learn any of this, my cousin just explained it all to me. I find it easier to go with someone who knows what they're talking about when buying roofing.

"Metal Roofing is the way to go"
I have had metal roofing on my current home for about 5 years now and I can not say it enough how much I love it. I had a brother in law of mine who does metal roofing to install it and I purchased it at home depot home improvement store in the next town over. This has by far been one of the best decisions I have ever made regarding my current home. We live in an area prone to high wind during hurricane season being right off the coast. With this metal roofing I think we will have less probability of wind damage to the roof than with shingles. Previously when I had shingles and hurricane force winds came through they blew everywhere. Since I have had the metal roofing I have had zero problems at all with wind damage to the roof. I have not even had to do one single repair to my roof at all. I have not had not even one single leak inside my current home either. I am thankful the metal roofing was installed right and I have not had any problems out of it. I would definitely recommend the metal sales brand of metal roofing from home depot home improvement store.

"Metal Roofing is the best thing we could have done to improve our house and it looks a lot better."
I am writing a review today to tell you about how much I love my Charcoal Metal Roof panels. My husband and I have had these metal roof panels for a little over a year now and we absolutely love them. The Charcoal Metal Roof panels were easy to install, my husband and I did it in approximately 4 hours. The curb appeal of our house looks so much nicer now, the metal roof really makes a difference. I would definitely recommend Metal Roof panels to anyone who loves to have great curb appeal and have a nicer home overall. What I like about the Charcoal Metal Roof panels is that they look so good. They look way better than average shingles. What I dislike about Charcoal Metal roof panels is that they were a little pricey and the rain is noisy when hitting the roof. My husband and I paid about $3,000 to get our roof done. My husband and I knew it had to be done because our original roof was looking outdated. We have not had to replace any of the metal panels yet because we have only had them for a year. If we ever did metal roof panels again I would for sure buy this brand again. I also would recommend Charcoal Metal Roof panels to anyone.

"Awesome roofing material!"
I had my metal roof professionally installed by Home Depot. That is also where I purchased my metal. I received a very competitive price on the metal when compared to other brands. I love the way it shines and really makes my house stand out in the neighborhood. They roof really makes my house look 10 years newer. I don't really have any dislikes with the product. The installation was simple and quick and the value it adds to my house is great. My roof is only two years old so I have not had to make any repairs to it. It still looks brand new. If I was purchasing another roof or recommending to a friend I would refinery recommend this material.

"Little Red Roofing Hood"
I've owned this Classic Rib metal roof since '05-'06ish. The aesthetics alone from the roof changes everything about how my house looks. Due to my having the roof installed, two neighbors close to mine had metal roofs installed on their homes. For a number of years, I used to have leaks on the two-story section of my house every time there was a serious storm (eastern NC) and was about to repair the roof and replace all the shingles until a former coworker suggested that I look into purchasing a metal roof. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made next to getting rid of that ugly wood board looking siding that looked like it was rotting for vinyl siding. Outside of repair & replacing a few sections of wood on the roof due to the water damage, the entire installation took about a week. I would buy the same brand again but I'm brand agnostic as I'd rather go with the suggestion of the installer. I would most certainly recommend it to a friend or family member.
