"Review of Solar Shingles"
I have owned the solar shingle for a few months and I was able to get a general technician affiliated with CertainTeed to install it. It was a challenge finding a local installer or even getting a referral from Certainteed. I was lucky to find, after a few calls and emails, first to Certainteeds Solar, then to Certainteed's corporate, and finally to Certainteed's parent company, St. Gobain, I finally was able to receive a referral for a local roofing contractor and solar installation combine. They were new to the product and received lots of design and installation assistance from CertainTeed. The final installation is fantastic , and I have not paid a high electric bill since. The road was long and a bit arduous, and the trip was overall worthwhile. I like that it is environmentally friendly and has a decent conversion rate for my household usage. There's not much to complain about yet, however, I do wish that it was less visible to the public. Although, the integrated option is a lot better than the other solar panel options available. There have been no need for repairs or replacements yet. I would certainly recommend this to a friend. I would, however, caution them about the installation process and the time investment.

"Worth the expense and aesthetically pleasing."
I have had my solar shingles for approximately 5 months now. Wayne's Solar did the install and I was pleased with the professionalism and efficiency of the workers. I have not yet needed to replace any of the shingles, even with the tropical storm we encountered. I love that they are not sticking out or obvious like traditional panels. I just wish they were more affordable, or came in larger quantities, as I would love to produce quite a bit of energy, more so than they do presently. Fourteen cells makes around sixty watts for my home. Having these has really opened my eyes to the applications of solar shingles. I would also love the possibility of making the shingles easily adaptable for a vehicle, in cases of electric vehicles needing more power, as well as a regular gas or diesel vehicle with stick on shingles to produce power in camping. I believe all national parks should try to make the investment in these shingles for their operations, I would recommend them for any structure.

"Green energy has never been better"
I have been a happy homeowner for the past 6 months since my Apollo Tile II solar shingles were put in. I've already noticed a decrease in my power bill, and the shingles will produce enough power to store up for the rainy days. The company that installed them was Geis solar. They quoted me a good price and came out the following week to tear off old shingles that needed replacement and install solar shingles. Overall, very happy with the company and the installed product. Time will tell how durable these shingles are but so far I have nothing bad to say about them. Supposedly they're guranteed for an extended period, and more warranty can be purchased. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
